Skylabs Polar Alignment Adapter
This polar alignment adapter turns the challenging process of setting your equatorial mount or star tracker into a fast and easy operation.
You will need to install in your smartphone PS Align Pro (iOS), PolarAligner Pro (Android only for Northern Hemisphere), or PhotoPills (multiplatform).
This adapter supports the most popular smartphones with a protective case (and any other smartphone with similar dimensions) and also QHY PoleMaster.
This device supports six different setups attending to the type of equatorial mount and the smartphone app / QHY PoleMaster. Review the diagram available in the images to learn what option works best for your equatorial mount.
Mount Adapter
- The Vixen dovetail mount adapter is suitable for most equatorial mounts and Skywatcher StarAdventurer.
- The 3/8" mount adapter is suitable for iOptron SkyTracker, iOptron Skyguider Pro, Omegon Mini Track LX2, Move Shoot Move, and other 3/8" screw-based trackers.
Polar Alignment Plate size
- Small: suitable for iPhone 6 to 8, SE, 13 mini and compatible sizes (145.5mm x 75mm).
- Medium: suitable for iPhone X, XS, 11 Pro, 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 13, 14, 14 Pro, and compatible sizes (153.8mm x 79.2mm).
- Large: suitable for iPhone 11, XR, XS Max, 11 Pro Max, 12 Pro Max, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, 14 Plus, 14 Pro Max and compatible sizes (167.9mm x 85.8mm).
